SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning for Bosch connects your e-bike with your smartphone and removes the speed limiter. Real speed and full riding data will be displayed in the SpeedBox App directly on your phone.

How does SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning for Bosch work?

After installation, enter the menu after the first switching on of the e-bike and set the wheel circumference if your e-bike has older firmware.

Activate/deactivate the tuning before the ride (when the e-bike is standing still), not during riding!

You can activate SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning directly in the SpeedBox App or via your e-bike’s control unit by briefly pressing the WALK assist function (“-” button). Your display will show 3.5 km/h (2.2 mph) and assistance will be unlocked up to 35 km/h. You can set your own limit up to 99 km/h, but we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h.

To deactivate tuning, activate the WALK assist function again (short press of the “-” button). The display will show 2.5 km/h (1.6 mph) and the limit will reset to 25 km/h.

If your e-bike does not have the WALK assist function enabled, you can activate/deactivate tuning by pressing the buttons in sequence: - + - +.

When you first open the SpeedBox App, you will set a PIN and a service password for security. The service password is used if you forget your PIN.

You can set the maximum speed limit by switching modes from TURBO three levels down and then three levels up: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. The display will show the current limit: 2.5 km/h = 25 km/h, 3.0 = 30 km/h, 3.5 = 35 km/h. The last value is saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.

After your ride, leave the e-bike on until the display shows 0.0 km/h. Only then switch it off. Do not remove the display until the countdown process finishes.

The SpeedBox App uses Bluetooth to connect your e-bike with your phone. You can see live riding data, save trips, compare with friends, and check performance later.

Assembly

SpeedBox chips use original connectors, making installation simple and reliable. We provide detailed manuals and videos. Disassembly is just as easy.

If installing on a brand-new bike, ride at least 10 km before activating tuning.

Important

Connect the male-female connectors in the direction of the lock. Do not rotate them during connection!

Warning

Please note: Using tuned e-bikes on public roads may be illegal. SpeedBox is for private property use only, at your own risk. The use of tuning may void your e-bike warranty. Always use protective gear.

We recommend not updating the e-bike firmware. Disable automatic updates in the eBike Flow App.

For smooth restarts, keep one foot on the pedal during short stops to prevent countdown. Allow partial countdowns on longer stops. After long rides, the countdown may take a few minutes.

Do not remove the display until countdown finishes. Activate/deactivate tuning only while stationary. Do not exceed 35 km/h.
